Welcome to my Southern Savvy blog! I have thought about starting this blog for quite some time and finally made it my New Year’s resolution…..with quite a bit of prodding from the spouse and my adult children. Since I was introduced to foreign locales from college art history classes, my eyes were opened to a world far outside my Mississippi borders. My travels have included Alaska, Hawaii, Italy, Germany, France, Great Britain, the Caribbean, Mexico and 40 other states in the continental United States. I am a calligrapher and live in the Dallas area. I have been a regular contributor to Trip Advisor and Open Table for many years and love to share my travel and dining experiences.
